We will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha, and after a 2-3 hour drive, you will arrive at Tarangire National Park. Your day will be filled with extensive game drives throughout the park. Tarangire boasts the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania, with herds sometimes numbering up to 300. The Tarangire River, which flows year-round, attracts many animals during the dry season (July to October) as they come to drink. Visiting during this time offers a spectacular opportunity to see lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests, zebras, various antelopes, and gazelles. With a bit of luck, you might even spot a python! This season is also a paradise for bird watchers, featuring over 550 species, including the world’s largest bird, the Masai Ostrich.
Around lunchtime, you will pause at a designated picnic area before resuming your afternoon of game drives and wildlife observation. As the day draws to a close, you will be driven back to your hotel in Arusha, arriving before sunset.
