Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Morning: Your safari adventure starts in Arusha, where your guide will pick you up after breakfast. The two-hour drive to Tarangire National Park offers scenic views of rural Tanzania, with its charming villages and expansive farmlands.
Arrival: Upon arrival at Tarangire, you’ll notice the park’s iconic baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which draws a variety of wildlife, especially during the dry season. The park is less crowded than other popular destinations, offering a more intimate experience with nature.
Game Drive: Start with a game drive through Tarangire’s diverse habitats. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, which often roam the savannah in groups. You’ll also encounter other herbivores, such as zebras, wildebeests, and giraffes, alongside predators like lions and leopards. Tarangire is also home to a rich birdlife, making it a paradise for birdwatchers.
Lunch: Enjoy a picnic at one of the designated areas within the park, surrounded by the sounds and sights of the wilderness.
Afternoon Game Drive: Continue your exploration of the park, visiting different areas to spot wildlife. The late afternoon light is perfect for photography, capturing Tarangire’s stunning landscapes and wildlife.
Drive to Karatu: As the sun sets, you’ll leave the park and drive to Karatu for the night. The hour-long journey takes you through the picturesque highlands, offering glimpses of local life and the beautiful scenery.
Evening: Arrive in Karatu, where you’ll check into your lodge. The town is known for its lush surroundings and cooler climate, making it a comfortable and relaxing place to unwind after a day of adventure.

Day 2
Explore Ngorongoro Crater to Karatu
Morning: After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. A short drive from Karatu brings you to the crater rim, where you’ll begin your descent into the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.
Crater Descent: As you descend, take in the breathtaking views of the crater floor below. The crater’s diversity of landscapes includes open savannahs, woodlands, and a soda lake, each home to a variety of wildlife.
Game Drive: Spend the morning exploring the crater floor, where you’ll encounter an incredible density of wildlife, including the Big Five such as elephants, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and the endangered black rhinoceros.The crater is also a haven for birdlife, with flamingos lining the shores of the soda lake and raptors soaring above.
Lunch: Enjoy a picnic lunch near the Ngoitoktok Springs, where hippos and other wildlife are often spotted.
Afternoon Game Viewing: Continue your game drive, visiting different areas of the crater to observe its diverse ecosystems and resident wildlife.
Return to Karatu: After spending some time at the crater, you’ll drive back to Karatu in the late afternoon. This drive offers stunning views as the sun sets over the highlands.
Evening: Relax at your lodge to enjoy a delicious dinner and share stories of the day’s adventures.

Day 3
Return To Arusha From Karatu
Return to Arusha
Morning: After breakfast, take some time to enjoy the serene surroundings of Karatu. You can participate in optional activities such as a visit to a local coffee plantation or a cultural tour of the area.
Drive to Arusha: Depart Karatu and begin the drive back to Arusha. The journey takes approximately 2.5 hours, offering one last chance to take in the scenic landscapes of northern Tanzania.
Lunch: Upon arrival in Arusha, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant or hotel.
End of Safari: After lunch, your safari adventure concludes. You will be transferred to your hotel or the airport, or you will continue with your onward travel plans.
