Summit day begins around midnight. You’ll start with a challenging ascent to Gilman’s Point (5,685m) on the crater rim, a steep climb with loose scree. From there, it’s a gradual climb to Uhuru Peak, the highest point in Africa. Reaching the summit at sunrise is a magical experience. After celebrating and taking photos, you’ll return to Kibo Hut for a short rest and then continue down to Horombo Hut for the night.

This marks the end of your unforgettable journey on the Lemosho Route, leaving you with a treasure trove of memories and experiences that will bring you a smile every time you recall them.
