Day 1
Arusha to Arusha National Park
Morning: Your adventure begins with an early pick-up from your accommodation in Arusha. After a brief introduction to your guide and the day’s activities, you’ll drive to Arusha National Park, just 45 minutes from the city.
Arrival: Arusha National Park is a small but diverse park, offering a range of ecosystems, from lush forests and savannahs to the stunning Momella Lakes and the impressive Mount Meru. Upon arrival, you’ll register at the gate before starting your game drive.
Game Drive: Begin your exploration with a morning game drive through the park. Despite its smaller size, Arusha National Park is home to various wildlife, including zebras, giraffes, buffalos, and warthogs. You might also spot some of the park’s primate residents, such as black-and-white colobus monkeys and blue monkeys, particularly in the forested areas.
Mount Meru: As you drive through the park, you’ll enjoy spectacular views of Mount Meru, the fifth-highest mountain in Africa. The mountain provides a magnificent background to the park’s varied landscapes, and on clear days, you can even glimpse Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance.
